Background
In 2025, Marriott International launched Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, bringing a curated set of stays designed for travelers who plan their trips around fresh air, open space, and adventure. Think cabins, trail-forward stays, and basecamps built to be immersed in nature, without giving up the comfort (or benefits) of a traditional hotel stay.
Marriott’s newest collections brand consists of Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels with more to come.
Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels, as separate brands, have their own active, social presence but there wasn’t representation on social for the broader collections brand. Therefore, in April 2026, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy launched on social media, acquiring handles across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest for the broader brand, as a whole, and to represent any potential new additions to the collection that may not have an established social presence.
Objective
This launch was designed to achieve the following:
Drive awareness of the broader Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy collections brand as the umbrella brand across Postcard Cabins, Trailborn Hotels and more.
Drive buzz, amplificiation and social engagements
The launch consisted of a 9-post Instagram landing page on @outdoorbymarriottbonvoy developed in-house from existing assets with features on Marriott Bonvoy Insiders Facebook Group and Marriott Bonvoy TikTok and LinkedIn channels, leveraging collaborations withe the existing audience on Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels pages.
